World Physiotherapy Congress 2025

The World Physiotherapy Congress was held at the Tokyo International Forum from May 29th to 31st, 2025. This was the first time the congress was held in Japan in approximately a quarter of a century, since its previous event in Yokohama in 1999. With a record-breaking 3,355 abstract submissions and over 4,500 participants from 110 countries and regions worldwide, the congress was a resounding success. Gallery (Japanese page)

Asian Physical Therapy Forum

We have been actively engaged in international activities, aiming to cultivate human resources in physical therapy to support the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and improved health and longevity in Asian countries, while also considering collaboration with national policies such as the Asia Health and Wellbeing initiative（AHWIN）.

Through international development and cooperation in Asian countries, we aim to enhance the professional standing of physical therapists in Japan, promote preventive healthcare practices, foster globalization among Japanese physical therapists, and cultivate relationships with professional organizations in other countries and territories.

About Global Café

• Once a month, we will hold an online event for career development of PTs working abroad and information exchange with PTs abroad. (For Japanese participants, the events will be held every other week in Japanese and English.)
• Topics will be presented by guests, and participants will exchange opinions in small groups.
